Participants
should be able to play open & Bar chords
proficiently, and have some experience playing music with
others.
Prior experience in a Guitar Stop Workshop or similar. Intermediate courses will improve students ability to solo,
carry rhythm, and develop as an ensemble
player.

Kid's
Jam III: Group
Instruction for students with experience playing in a band or
group. Focus on Blues and Rock. Developing songs
using rhythm, improvisation and soloing. Class is geared to
intermediate level students with experience playing with
others. Participants should be able to play open &
bar chords proficiently and have group playing or band
experience.

General
Information:
Workshops
will develop skills in playing music with others.
Beginner courses are designed to take the student from a solo
player to one that can jam with others.
Intermediate and Advanced courses will improve students
ability to solo and develop as an ensemble player.
Courses will use the structure of 12 Bar Blues, Jazz and Rock
to help participants work on Ensemble playing, Rhythm patterns,
Soloing Techniques and
Improvisation.
Course will be held at
Paul's Music Studio: located at 1798a
Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, Ma 02140, just a couple of blocks from
the Porter Sq. T station.
Each
workshop will have a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum
of 5.
Participants
should be prepared to bring their own guitar to each
session.
At each session they will be asked to
practice material to be prepared for the next session. |
